Maria Fabre is the creator of ShelfLife. She's a mother, an MIT graduate in Computer Science and Molecular Biology with a Master of Engineering, and a software engineer at Google. ShelfLife grew out of her own curiosity about what's really in the products her family uses every day — and a desire to waste less food at home.
We aim to make complex ingredient and toxicity information accessible and easy to interpret. The website is designed to empower consumers to make informed choices, while also promoting food waste reduction through expiration tracking.
